Harshit Shihara

Mr. Shihara joined Meridian in 2021 and currently serves as a Vice President in the company’s New York office. He is responsible for the origination and placement of loans across a broad array of property types, including multifamily, office, and retail in locations including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Texas, and California.

Prior to joining Meridian, Mr. Shihara was a Sr. Financial Analyst at Pacifica Companies where he worked on raising debt for acquisitions, refinancing, construction loans, and bridge loans for value-add transactions. Also, he was responsible for underwriting, due diligence and closing of potential acquisition opportunities to expand the multifamily portfolio. Over the course of his career, Mr. Shihara has negotiated more than $4 billion in financing covering multifamily, office, retail, industrial, hospitality, mobile home parks, and other property types across the United States. Notable financing transactions include a $323 million loan for 5 property Portfolio in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and $173 Million loan for 3 property portfolio in Texas.

Mr. Shihara holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
