Aaron Stempel

Vice President

Mr. Stempel joined Meridian in 2013 and currently serves as a Senior Vice President in the company’s Ohio office. He is responsible for the origination and placement of loans across a broad array of property types, including multifamily, office, retail, and hospitality, focusing on the Midwest region including Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan as well as Texas and Phoenix in the Southwest. Mr. Stempel has been involved in a wide-ranging array of commercial loans including acquisition, construction, construction take-out, bridge, and permanent financing. Mr. Stempel has successfully closed transactions with his lending partners including Banks, Agency, CMBS, Credit Unions, Debt Funds, Pension Funds, and Life Insurance Companies.

Prior to joining Meridian, Mr. Stempel was Purchasing Director at ManagCare, a company which owned and managed several skilled nursing home facilities throughout Illinois. Mr. Stempel was responsible for all aspects of purchasing on behalf of all the facilities, including establishing and nurturing vendor relationships, preparing requests for bids, and developing procurement systems.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Stempel has negotiated over 100 transactions totaling nearly $1 Billion in financing secured by multifamily, office, retail, and hospitality assets in the United States. Notable financing transactions negotiated by Mr. Stempel include a $40 million Wisconsin multifamily portfolio loan and a complex $28 million aggregate bridge and takeout loan secured by a 437-unit multifamily property in Phoenix, AZ.

Mr. Stempel holds a Bachelor of Talmudic Law from Yeshivas Neveh Zion in Telshestone, Israel.
